Presidio Heights

Presidio Heights is a very elegant, family-friendly community with some of the grandest homes in the city, many with beautiful views. It is comprised primarily of single-family homes and two-unit buildings and maintains a domestic atmosphere. Many of the streets are wide, flat, and lined with trees which provide an excellent environment for raising families. Bordered by the Presidio on the north side, residents have easy entree to the 1500 acres of hiking trails, multiple playgrounds, and outdoor, green space. This is a primarily residential neighborhood, with nearby shopping to be found in the adjoining Laurel Heights district. Sacramento Street runs through Presidio Heights offering boutiques, antique shops, upscale restaurants, and Interior Design shops. If you are a regular, shop owners know your name and it can feel very much like a small town within the big city.
