Parkside

Parkside is a beautiful, peaceful community at the southern end of San Francisco. Located south of Ortega Street and north of Sloat Boulevard and Sigmund Stern Grove, Parkside homes technically lie in the southern part of the Sunset, though the area used to be a district of its own. Single-family homes predominate in this neighborhood, adding to the friendly family-oriented atmosphere. Except for the commercial corridor on Taraval Street, Parkside homes are in mostly residential areas. The neighborhood is served be a variety of MUNI lines and is home to many playgrounds and a meadow-like playing field at McCopping Square. Ninth Avenue and Irving Street provide an array of coffee houses, eateries and boutiques.
