Glen Park
Below the steep slopes of Glen Canyon, with its open vistas, Glen Park feels tucked away and private as it is a self-contained hillside village within the city of San Francisco. Its quaint streets curve around the slopes just south of Noe Valley. Glen Park has its own library, hardware store, dry cleaner, coffee shops, bakeries, and fine food merchants. Glen Park City Park offers 70 acres of urban recreation, while Glen Canyon Park offers playing fields and hiking trails, a community recreation center, ball fields, tennis courts, and playgrounds. Homes in Glen Park have a unique, historical charm and are predominantly Victorian. The real estate here boasts some dramatic new construction with arresting architecture found above and below Laidley Street. Many properties have stellar views and all enjoy the peaceful, friendly atmosphere. There is a vibrant commercial area at the heart of Glen Park with excellent public transportation options. The BART Station at Bosworth Street is within walking distance, as is the J-Church MUNI trolley. The on-ramp to Interstate 280 makes for a rapid commute to Silicon Valley and easy access to Highway 1 and the Pacific beaches to the south.
