Cow Hollow is known as one of the most desirable residential neighborhoods in of San Francisco. It sits just below Pacific Heights and spans from Green Street to Lombard Street and Van Ness Avenue to the sprawling Presidio. After the Department of Public Health ordered the removal of several dairies that dotted the North side of the hill landscape in the 1850’s, significant development began in the 1870s.
