Under the Bay Bridge, next to AT&T Park, and fronting along the Embarcadero is a scenic stretch of waterfront property known as South Beach. This neighborhood is known as one of San Francisco’s newer neighborhoods, as most of it didn't exist before 1989 when an earthquake toppled the overhead Embarcadero Freeway. Before the earthquake, South Beach was a warehouse district. Today, South Beach is home to some of the most desirable and dramatic condominiums, live/work lofts, and interior design stores in San Francisco. Brick-and-timber lofts in converted warehouses can be found on Bryant, Delancey, Beale, and Spear Streets.

One of the most prominent features of South Beach is the home of the San Francisco Giants, AT&T Park, which has enticed many new services and restaurants into the area. South Beach is a quick walk to the gourmet Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building, as well as many high-end, delicious restaurants and shopping.
